Dinçer Logistics will penetrate Europe with door-to-door service

2024-10-24

Dinçer Logistics, which is among the leading companies in dangerous goods transportation in Türkiye, continues its investments in operational and digitalization without slowing down. The company, which focused on improving its European operations during this period, is preparing to switch to artificial intelligence with the “Dinçer Al” project. Engin Kolat, Dinçer Logistics Transformation Office Leader, emphasized that exporting companies are working on a comprehensive system for delivering their products to European countries, storing them there and delivering them to the end user, and said, “We aim to spread this service, which we currently provide especially in West Europe, throughout Europe.”

Could you tell us what is the Dinçer Logistics’s position in the dangerous goods and chemical  transportation market?
As Dinçer Logistics, when we stepped into chemical transport in 2003, our goal was to produce solutions that would meet high safety standards and customer needs in this field. Our mission to provide safe and sustainable logistics services was at the core of our branding journey in the sector. By adopting international safety standards such as ADR from the first days, we have successfully managed high risk factors in the transportation of dangerous goods. We have filled the gap in the chemical sector by bringing the transportation standards of developed countries to Türkiye and thus increased the trust of international companies in the sector in Türkiye.
When we look at our position in the sector, Dinçer Logistics is among the leading companies in hazardous substance transportation in Türkiye. Thanks to the operational excellence we have developed, our strong logistics infrastructure and qualified human resources, we provide services both in the local market and in the international arena. By constantly expanding our market share in the field of chemical transportation, we have established a wide logistics network throughout Türkiye and globally. During this process, we have made significant contributions to our customers’ export operations and facilitated their access to international markets. Our strong position in the sector continues to add value to Turkish trade and the international investment environment.

SWITCHING TO SMART WAREHOUSE SYSTEM
Could you tell us about the investments you made to improve your operational processes
?
Recently, we have taken important steps to make our operational processes more efficient, especially by focusing on our warehouse investments. We increased the capacity of our warehouses located at strategic points throughout Türkiye and developed high-tech solutions in these areas. We have digitalized inventory tracking and process management by investing in smart warehouse management systems in our warehouses. Thanks to these automation systems, we accelerated in-warehouse transactions, increased customer satisfaction by minimizing error rates.
We have achieved great speed and efficiency in business processes with the automatic sorting, packaging and loading systems we have established in our warehouses. Our inventory management systems allow us to instantly monitor and optimize the movements of products in the warehouse. This both reduces storage costs and allows us to gain flexibility in the supply chain. Our warehouses, which serve different sectors such as food, chemicals and FMCG, are structured to meet the specific requirements of the relevant sectors.
On the vehicle fleet side, we have an environmentally friendly fleet equipped with ADR-certified equipment for the transportation of dangerous goods. However, at the center of our operations is warehouse management based on technological infrastructure and the constant improvement of these processes. Thanks to the software we developed with Dinçer Technology, we increase both efficiency and security by taking digital transformation to the highest level in our warehouse processes.

Which are the sectors you focus on and the areas in which you are strongest and why?
As Dinçer Logistics, we transport chemicals, construction materials, automotive sub-industry products, industrial products such as plastic and rubber, plant protection products and fast-moving consumer goods for the FMCG sector. The reason behind carrying such a wide range of products lies our deep expertise in different sectors and our ability to meet the unique logistics needs of each sector. While our main business is warehousing, we offer integrated logistics services to our customers. We also provide transportation solutions as part of our operations according to the needs of our customers. Our annual transportation capacity is quite high and in this process, we cooperate with many large companies and support their supply chains.

WE WILL CONTINUE TO INVEST IN TECHNOLOGY AND PEOPLE
What are you doing to strengthen your brand in the coming period?
As a company, we are in a period where we focus on developing our European operations. We continue our investments, especially in becoming the strategic logistics partner of our exporting companies in Europe. We are working on a comprehensive system for delivering the products of exporting companies to European countries, storing them there and delivering them to the end user. We aim to expand this service, which we currently provide especially in Western Europe, across Europe and increase our contribution to our country’s economy.
In addition, investments in technology and human resources have a priority place in our investment agenda. We attach great importance to technology in order to make our operational processes more efficient and increase our competitiveness. This year, our investments in warehouse automation systems, digital inventory management and software developed with Dinçer Technology stand out. These technology-based improvements aim to increase customer satisfaction by accelerating our business processes.
Human resources are an important part of our growth strategy. We invest in the employment of qualified personnel who will contribute to R&D and digitalization processes. We organize continuous training programs to increase the competencies of our employees and make our teams more equipped and competent.

In which areas does chemical substance transportation in Turkey need improvement?
Infrastructure deficiencies, driver shortage and lack of vehicles complying with standards are important problems in chemical transportation in Türkiye. In ADR shipments, sufficient roads, logistics centers and the number of trained drivers are not sufficient, which brings with it a number of problems. Additionally, some unauthorized companies ignore the standards, resulting in unfair competition. These problems need to be solved with inspections and the infrastructure needs to be improved.

IT WILL SWITCH TO ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WITH THE ‘DİNÇER AI’ PROJECT
Dinçer Logistics also makes a name for itself with the steps it takes in the field of digitalization. Stating that digitalization is at the center of Dinçer Logistics’ strategy for preparing for the future, Engin Kolat said, “While the logistics sector is rapidly becoming digital, we have not only adapted to this transformation, but also focused on leading it. We have made our operations more efficient, reliable and transparent with the digital projects we have recently implemented. In particular, the software we have developed within Dinçer Technology provides more control and optimization at every stage of our business processes.” Kolat, who stated that one of the most exciting developments in terms of technology is the “Dinçer AI” project carried out by R&D centers, said: “Thanks to the project meticulously carried out by the team consisting of software developers and engineers, we focused on creating a new artificial intelligence product. Thanks to this project, which is far beyond the artificial intelligence integrations that have become quite common recently, both employees and customers will be able to access all the data they need with a single command. Without having to spend hours or even days comparing and analyzing data exceeding GBs in size, the desired information will be reached in seconds with a single command. This will significantly increase both employee productivity and business processes. The Dinçer AI project, the preliminary work of which has now been completed, will be fully usable by all our departments and all our customers in the first quarter of next year.
