Marport has expanded its docks with a total investment of 200 million dollars, making it ready to serve the world’s largest ships in two docks at the same time. The port, which increased the total number of STS cranes to 14 thanks to its newly purchased four STS (25 side) cranes, is now even faster and more efficient with its state-of-the-art equipment.

Founded in 2001 with the partnership of Arkas Holding and TIL (Terminal investment Limited), Marport continues to support Turkey’s competitive power in international markets with its contemporary port layout applications, state-of-the-art equipment, new generation terminal operating system and pioneering investments.
Marport, which makes a significant contribution to Turkish foreign trade, increases the number of STS (25 side) cranes to 14 and the total number of cranes to 19 with four new cranes purchased with an investment of 60 million dollars within the scope of the Modernization Project. In this way, it aims to maximize the satisfaction of its business partners and Turkish importers and exporters as a business that can serve the world’s two largest ships at the same time, by greatly increasing its operational speed and efficiency with STSs at all its berths.

With the Modernization project to be completed in 2024, the port will serve multiple mega ships at the same time.
Arkas Holding Port and Terminal Operations Group President Özgür Kalelioğlu, in his statement, stated that Marport continues to lead the sector with its pioneering investments and said that by 2025, it will be the only port in the Ambarli region that will serve with state-of-the-art STSs that greatly increase operational speed and efficiency at all its docks.
