Batu Logistics provides competitive advantage in exports with its wide range of services
Stating that they have reached more than 30 countries in Europe and all CIS countries, Batu Logistics General Manager Efe Göktuna said that while they aim for an increase of over 50 percent in international cargo volumes with new warehouse investments abroad, they will continue to provide a competitive advantage to Turkish exporters by strengthening their services in the markets they are in.
With which solutions does Batu Logistics support exporters?
We have been supporting our export customers for many years with our intensive land transportation between Türkiye and Europe. We keep up with export plans by realizing fast, flexible and regular weekly exits in this field. In this way, we contribute to our exporters’ customer satisfaction by reaching the target safely and quickly. We can transport partial and complete loads safely with our vehicle supply infrastructure suitable for different types of export loads.
We deliver cargoes that need to reach European countries faster, especially within 36-72 hours with our Speedy Van service. We offer an alternative to air transportation speed in the shipment of urgent loads up to 1,300 kg or 15 cubic meters. We provide a transportation service as fast as air transportation but more economical in this field. We make door-to-door deliveries with our vehicles specially designed for different sectors. We reach the target directly by eliminating waiting times at border gates. We offer integrated logistics services to many sectors, especially chemistry, FMCG, automotive, textile and liquid cargo.
We also have an ETGB (Electronic Commerce Customs Declaration) license. Thus, we transport loads under 300 kg and 15,000 Euros that need to be delivered from Turkiye to Europe or from Europe to Turkiye with our ETGB license. By accelerating customs processes, we carry out all transactions electronically and provide an efficient process. Thus, we both enable our exporters to reach their target countries faster and offer them a more economical option.
What kind of advantages do you provide to your customers in terms of cost, time, etc. with the services and solutions you offer?
As Batu Logistics, we evaluate each of our customers individually and focus on providing solutions that suit their needs. We provide speed and cost advantages especially with our Speedy Van service and increase efficiency in processes with our ETGB license.
With our R&D team consisting of industrial engineers, we produce projects that will create route and load optimization, alternative transportation models and “cost efficiency”. In this way, we use our wide agency network in air, sea, land and railway transportation in the most effective way with the alternative modeling we create for our customers.
We can access a large number of vehicles with our strong agency connections in many parts of the world, especially in Europe. We determine the delivery flow in the most ideal way so that our customers do not experience any negativity in their export processes.
In this field, in addition to our Express and Ultra Express transportation solutions, we also offer temperature-controlled transportation between –25 and +25 °C and ADR transportation solutions. We meet all the needs of our customers with temperature-controlled special vehicles and ensure that the cold chain is not broken. We provide temperature controlled transport services in European countries.
What are the markets you have focused on in recent years in line with the demands from Turkish exporters? Which countries or regions will be your new stops?
Last year, we carried out intensive partial transportation in all European destinations, especially Germany. This year, we are providing intensive service to our exporters in all European countries, especially in Germany. We have also strengthened our Eastern European route. We increased our transportation volume on this line by expanding our infrastructure in Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Czechia. In 2025, in addition to our transportation throughout Europe, we will continue to strengthen our lines in CIS countries and provide our exporters with a competitive advantage in target markets.
IMPORT CARGO INCREASED BY 30 PERCENT
What is the distribution of domestic, import and export transportation in your business volume? How do you plan to increase this level?
We plan our domestic transportation services to complement our international logistics, warehouse and storage services; we offer complete, partial and micro distribution services in 81 provinces. We provide customer satisfaction by offering integrated transportation solutions from A to Z. We provide services to more than 30 countries in Europe and all CIS countries with our export-import partial, complete and intermodal transportation services. Recently, the ratio of our import shipments to the general cargo distribution has increased by 30 percent. In the coming years, we aim to increase our general cargo volume by over 50 percent in terms of export-import with our overseas warehouse investment plans. We are also making our investment plans within this scope.
Are there any new services and investments on your agenda that will provide important advantages to exporters?
In particular, the demand for our ultra-express and express transportation solutions continues to increase. With our investments in this area, we will continue to be the business partner that offers the fastest transportation solutions to our customers. In addition, the increase in the number of destinations we serve with our green transportation solutions in intermodal transportation continues.
In order for foreign trade to develop in Turkiye, it is very important for the logistics infrastructure to be well planned and for investments to continue without interruption. What joint steps can industrialists and logisticians take in this regard?
Industry, export and logistics sector associations can come together more often and develop solutions to common problems. Stronger support can be provided from the public to implement these suggestions. For example, we can act together in coordination regarding the EU visa barrier for truck drivers. We can take initiatives before international organizations and judicial bodies. We can find faster and more permanent solutions to our problems such as transit quotas or additional fee demands, especially in European and CIS countries, through coordination. As a result, these problems negatively affect not only logistics companies but also our exporters.
