Ekol Logistics withdrew from the agreement with DFDS
Ekol Logistics has decided to withdraw from the agreement due to the final stage of the transfer of international land, air and sea transportation and customs activities to DFDS, which has been ongoing for more than two years, due to the unfair demands it has encountered that do not align with its values, principles and professionalism.
In the statement made by Ekol, which announced the situation to its employees, it was stated that “In this process, transparency, honesty and looking out for the long-term interests of our company are our basic principles.”
Making a statement on the subject, Ekol Logistics Board Chairman Ahmet Musul said the following: “We were faced with a request for reconsideration and discount by the DFDS chairman twenty-four hours before the final handover. We said that if they insisted on the discount request, we would cancel the agreement. It was not a numerical demand, it was inappropriate for them to make this request on the last day and we canceled the agreement. As Ekol, we will continue our activities in an integrated manner from where we left off, with our 8 thousand employees. I would like to thank our colleagues for their dedication during this process.”
