2024-10-01

Operating in the logistics sector for over 20 years, CETA Logistics & Projects is one of Mersin’s leading companies in transit and project & heavy load transportation to Iraq and the CIS region. Emphasizing that they have accomplished serious work in industrial project logistics, which they focus on in these regions in particular, Cem Ercan, CEO of CETA Logistics & Projects said that they aim to start 2025 with stronger steps by expanding their offices in Iraq and Slovenia.

Could you tell us about CETA Logistics & Projects branding journey? What are your strongest service areas?
CETA Logistics & Projects, which started its activities in 2011, has strengthened its staff as of 2019 and has made a name for itself as an important actor in transit cargo and project transportation, especially from Mersin, where Türkiye’s largest port is located, and surrounding portsWe continue to grow with the employment and infrastructure investments we make both at home and abroad every year. With our strong staff and professional services and increasing logistics investments day by day, we will continue to be at the top of the service sector, especially in project transportation, which is seriously needed in the region and our country. We will continue to work to provide the best service to our customers and to create added value for our country’s economy, especially in transit cargo transportation to the Northern and Southern Iraq region and industrial investments in CIS countries.

STANDS OUT IN INDUSTRIAL PROJECT LOGISTICS
What investments have you made to improve and strengthen your services?
In addition to our activities such as road, air, sea and project logistics, we specialize in Industrial Project Logistics, which we focus on. In addition, with the investments we made and the offices we opened in Koper Port in Slovenia and Erbil in Northern Iraq, we took an important step in carrying the name of both our country and our company abroad. We started to serve our customers in terms of supply and logistics, especially in industrial investments made in Northern Iraq.

STRENGTHENED ITS NETWORK ABROAD WITH TWO OFFICES
Could you share your growth targets? What are your new investment plans?
First of all, we plan to complete the DCCP Cement Factory Project with a daily production capacity of 6,000 tons, which will be located in Erbil, Northern Iraq, which we started this year, and continue with the second leg of the relevant project.
We intend to start 2025 with stronger steps by improving the employment and operation of the offices we opened in Iraq and Slovenia. In addition, in the coming period, we will represent our country by continuing to participate in meetings and fairs where logistics industry stakeholders meet in regions such as Europe and the Middle East, as well as Türkiye.

What do you want to say about the agenda of the logistics industry?
I think that one of the most prioritized issues in this process is the Yemen issue, which caused the attacks in the Red Sea to force mainline container ships to change their routes. This situation has caused serious problems in the global logistics industry and, accordingly, in global trade. It caused us to be reminded of the disruptions experienced during the pandemic process. It is obvious why it is important due to the location of our country. For this reason, the Turkish Logistics Industry is in constant flow with the world logistics industry. The crises experienced in this process have once again revealed the importance of the logistics sector in the further development of our country in the field of trade and industry.
